Our culture is dominated by digital documents in ways that are easy to overlook. These have changed our worldviews about science and raised expectations of them as tools for knowledge justification. This article explores the complexities surrounding document revisiting Michael Polanyi’s theory tacit knowledge—the idea “we can know more than we tell.” The presents us a dilemma: if tell, then this means communication via primary form telling will always be incomplete. dilemma significant challenges open movement.
